St Venera Tunnels to be closed for locality feast

Due to activities in connection with the feast of Sta Venera, the Sta Venera tunnels will be closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday 26 July between 9.30pm and 11pm and Sunday 27 July between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

All vehicular traffic will be diverted as follows:

Vehicles proceeding from Triq M.A. Vassalli are to be diverted onto Sliema road in the direction towards Sliema or to the University roundabout onto Misrah il-Menqa, Msida.

Vehicles proceeding from Sta Venera roundabout will be diverted onto Triq Kappillan Mifsud, Sta Venera or onto Triq Psaila, Sta Venera or onto Triq il-Wied,  Msida.

Vehicles proceeding from Msida will be diverted onto the Sta Venera roundabout.

Vehicles proceeding from Mriehel by pass will be diverted onto Canon road, Sta Venera/Qormi through Triq il-Mithna or from near Flamingo.

Vehicles proceeding from Marsa South will be diverted onto Triq Dicembru 13 towards Sa Maison or onto Triq is-Sebh onto Mriehel by pass.

 

Rabat

27 July

 

Transport Malta notifies that Triq it-Tigrija (near Saqqajja Hill) shall be temporarily closed for vehicular traffic on Saturday 27th July 2014 between 06:000 hrs and 12:00 hrs due to a horse-racing event. 

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution. Any inconvenience is regretted.

 

Ta’ Xbiex

28 July – 31 October

 

Transport Malta notifies that due to the tunnel being excavated underneath the road level, in connection with the National Flood Relief Project, for safety reasons, part of Xatt Ta’ Xbiex will be closed to all vehicular traffic as from the 28 July up to 31 October.

Vehicular traffic in both directions will be diverted through ir-Rampa Ta’ Xbiex.

Bus routes will be diverted through Triq Abate Rigord Street.
