Earlier on this week, the Maltese Government won a court case against Mediteranean Film Studios, the company occupying the Rinella Films facilities, a case brought forward years ago, after breach of contract conditions.

In a press release, the Nationalist Party, while welcoming the court’s decision, appealed the government to immediately ensure private investment in order to rehabilitate the site, which has great potential.

In the last few years, Malta has proved successful in the film industry, with several international productions being filmed on our island.  The PN concluded by saying that the government should ensure further investment, given the promotional impact of the film industry.
