The CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority, Josef Formosa Gauci has handed in his resignation, it was announced this evening.

Although it may seem strange that the MTA CEO resigns at a time when tourism is looking up, Mr Formosa Gauci had suffered an attack on his integrity some months ago. At that time, he was defended by the then Tourism Minister Karmenu Vella.
