HMS Enterprise arrived in Grand Harbour carrying 110 British nationals evacuated from Libya.
The navy vessel berthed at Pinto Wharf Monday morning at around 7.15am.
The 110 Britons who have left Tripoli include some 20 children, around 10 infants, and 4 pregnant women. No diplomats were on board.
Representatives of the British, as well as the Irish embassy were present.
In comments to the press, British High Commissioner Rob Luke thanked all those involved, adding that the priority now is taking utmost care of all British nationals who arrived in Malta, while keeping in contact with those still in Libya. He confirmed that no one on board was injured.
The UK authorities will keep all options for evacuation open.
Meanwhile, the British Embassy in Libya has suspended its operations.
