Pembroke Mayor Dean Hili has urged wardens to take action against people parking on pavements outside the Luxol and Melita football grounds.

A reader of the Malta Independent sent in a number of photographs of cars casually parked on the pavement outside of the Melita football ground.

The reader said such blatant offences occur on a daily basis. The cars impede those who frequent the area to exercise and have a stroll on the recent designed path along the Pembroke area.  

The situation can become dangerous if anyone wearing headphones goes down the pavement to avoid the parked cars and would not hear any car shooting up to the club premises when late for training, the reader pointed out.
