Exiles finally managed to register their first league victory, in their fourth attempt against the Citizens, after two losses and a drawn match. Not that it made any difference in the league table, with exiles already condemned to play three deciding matches against the next division champions. Valletta also were not going to trouble Sirens, above them in the standings.
Exiles started off well with a brace of strikes. Valletta then went level, only for Exiles to take another double advantage till the end of the period. In the next sessionit was Valletta in the driving seat, as they went near, and then were on an eben score twice till the interval, which ended on a 7-7 score.
After the break the Citizens went in front, for the only time in the game, but exiles regained their lead, with three strikes against Valletta's one, and Exiles were 10-9 ahead, when the last quarter began. The Citizens again managed to draw level twice, but it was Exiles who had the last laugh, when two quick goals in the last stages of the match ensured their victory.
Exiles had Gergely Katonas and Kurt grixti both on hat tricks. Valletta had a total of five players with a brace of goals.

M'xlokk keep league title wide open

M'xlokk kept their title hopes alive, with their first victory over M'scala in in five matches, although they were near in their last encounter against the same opponents, which finished in a draw. This time M'xlokk went one better, with an odd goal victory. But M'xlokk enjoyed better advantages throughout the match, only for M;'scala to put in a late rally which nearly gave them the title, but they were a goal short at the end of the encounter.
M'xlokk were two goals to the good after the opening period, and they repeated the dose in the next session, as they edged further in front till the interval, which finished with a solid 7-3 advantage to M'xlokk.
After the break M'scala tried to get back into the match, but for evry goal they scored, a total of three, M'xlokk always managed to react and when the last session started M'scala were still four goals in arrears, at 6-10. M'xlokk added a further goal, but M'scala staged a last ditch rally, and they crept back into the game. Although they had lost Joe Cremona, ejected from the match, M'xlokk lost Otto frick on three fouls. M'scala went to just a goal behind, but their last efforts were thwarted by the M'xlokk defence, with Nello Xuereb denying M'scala in their last attack. M'xlokk then cruised home, with their possession of the ball in the last seconds.
Bence Fulope finished with five goals for M'xlokk, whilst Sergi Mora and Matthew Pace both scored hat tricks for M'scala.
