Mosta registered their third successive victory of the season to go on top with maximum points together with Birkirkara and Hibernians.

On the other hand this was the thrid successive defeat for newly promoted side Zebbug Rangers who are finding the going hard in the top flight.

Bojan Kaljevic who scored the winner against Valletta in the opening match was again instrumental for the Blues as he scored two second half goals to give Piccioni’s side a perfect start to the season before the break.

Mosta broke the deadlock eleven minutes into the second half when Mano Micallef was floored by Gauci and Kaljevic made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Mosta sealed the issue on 73 minutes when Kaljevic headed beautifully home a Mano Micallef corner.
