The first ever President’s ball to be held in Gozo was held on Saturday.

President of the Republic Marie Louise Coleiro Preca said that this is a presidency that is aiming to give our sister island a vision.

She thanked all those who attended the event and for having contributed funds towards the Malta Community Chest Fund as a result of their attendance.

The President said that Gozo’s treasures could not be kept hidden, referring to the Unesco site where the event was held, that of Ggantija Temples.

Ms Coleiro Preca highlighted that cancer prevalence is on the rise and such activities help boost funds in support of those persons stricken by cancer.
