Atletico Madrid has signed Italian forward Alessio Cerci from Torino to reinforce the defending Spanish champion's attack.
Atletico says Cerci will sign a three-year contract after passing a routine medicalexam.
The 27-year-old Cerci scored 21 goals for Torino over the last two seasons.
Cerci played one game for Italy at his summer's World Cup, but he was left off its squad for its first qualifier for the European Championship.
Cerci will join new arrivals Mario Mandzukic, Antoine Griezmann and Raul Jimenez as part of Atletico's completely revamped attacking unit after Diego Costa left for Chelsea and David Villa for the United States this summer.
