A 35-year-old Nigerian man today pleaded not-guilty to drug trafficking after being found in possession of 2kg of heroin.

Kayode Kola Orunleye was arrested yesterday by the Police Drugs squad in Naxxar. They found  700gm of heroin in the bag he was carrying.

In a subsequent search of his residence, the police found an additional 1.3kg of heroin.

Magistrate Neville Camilleri denied bail.

Inspector Nikolai Sant prosecuted.
