The new website

Working on a new project is always an exciting time.

These last six months have been busy as we prepared for the launch of the new website. The idea was to improve on what we were already offering on a portal that, in less than two years, became the second most read Maltese site around the world.

We started off with many ideas, but all of them kept the readers, or visitors, as the main focal point. And what six months ago was a mixture of thoughts has gradually been put into place in what you are experiencing today. We're sure you like it.

In an ideal world, all would have worked perfectly from the word go. But, as we were expecting, we did have some initial hitches when the site went online last Friday. We have resolved most of them, are still working on the rest, but we are glad to see that your response has been overwhelmingly positive.

It was hard work to arrive at this stage. But it will be harder still to maintain the service that you have grown used to get from us.

What we can promise is that we will be doing our best to keep up the standards you have come to expect from us, and possibly improve them.

We appreciate those who have called us or sent messages to tell us how much they are enjoying the new site. If there's something you want to point out, you can always drop me an email on [email protected]

I'd like to finish off by thanking three people who have been with me all the way from the conception of the site to where we are today: Noel Azzopardi, our managing director, Pierre Portelli, our director for business and content, and Andre Camilleri, our production manager.

Their input has been extraordinary.

You'll be hearing from me soon. Until then, enjoy the site.
