Comparing Malta to Hong Kong

Sunday, 19 October 2014, 08:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

The Leader of the Opposition never ceases to amaze me with the kind of nonsensical arguments he makes in order to try and show our Prime Minister and his government in the worst possible light. His latest one, that of comparing the situation in Malta to that in Hong Kong, where daily protests have been held against the Honk Kong government, is simply mind-boggling.

I have said this a number of times, and I will say it again: is there no one in the PN who is ready to convince Dr Simon Busuttil that the kind of arguments he is making, instead of undermining voters' trust in Dr Joseph Muscat and the PL government, can only keep undermining Dr Busuttil's chances of holding on to his position as leader of the PN, come the next general election in 2018.
