A total of 6,223 workers have lost their job and were declared redundant between March 2013 and August 2014, Minister Evarist Bartolo told Frederick Azzopardi (PN) in Parliament this evening.Of these, 5,773 were from Malta and 450 from Gozo.The number of workers who lost their jobs because the concern they used to work for closed down was 1,212 in Malta and 134 in Gozo, the minister said.601 workers from these found jobs in Malta and 77 in Gozo.
