A music performance of art rock and post-progressive sounds

Lovers of art rock and post-progressive music should book places for No lilies in autumn - an original music performance that will be staged at St James Cavalier on 7 and 8 November. Written and produced by Karl Spiteri, the performance fuses art rock, post-progressive sounds, ambient music and strands of classical music. Influenced by contemporary artists such as No-Man, Porcupine Tree, Steve Wilson and Blackfield, the conceptual performance is a journey of discovery for two lonely souls who travel from a chance encounter through love, loss and hope. The performance combines the talents of local musicians who are not new to the music scene namely Daniela Cassar on voice, Karl Spiteri on keyboards, piano, sounds and voice, Jeremy de Maria on guitars and narrative and Joe Zammit on drums.Designed for an intimate setting, No lilies in autumn engages the audience on different levels through the interplay between music, photography, art and video projections. The performance makes delicate and powerful statements that will captivate and move those who share the experience. The event is sponsored by Pure Concepts.
No lilies in autumn will be staged on 7 and 8 November at 8pm at St James Cavalier. Tickets cost €12.
