Former PN Minister George Pullicino has a lot to answer to following yesterday's revelations in Parliament, the Labour Party said in a statement.
During yesterday's sitting, Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi said a contract worth €35 million with an inflated feed-in tariff was granted by Mr Pullicino's ministry under the previous administration.
The Labour Party said this was compounded by the fact that the contract was awarded on the virtue of an unsigned bank letter assuring of the bidding company's liquidity was issued.
This raises questions about the validity of the letter, and involving the Police at this stage was prudent, Labour said.
George Pullicino cannot maintain his current veil of silence, the Party said.
