Julian Cuschieri, 50, of Cospicua, today pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and was remanded in custody.
The prosecution told the court that the incident occurred on Tuesday after Cuschieri and a Stefano Caruana, 33, were involved in argument. The 33-year-old man was certified as suffering from grievous injuries after he was allegedly stabbed by the accused in a residence in Triq l-Inkurunazzjoni, Cospicua at around midnight.
It is understood that the two were taking drugs together before the incident started.
The accused was also found to be in possession of cocaine. Police Inspector Josric Mifsud prosecuted.
