The government said this morning that it had no indication that its draft budget for 2015 will be rejected by the European Commission, as a report in the Financial Times, picked up by The Malta Independent last Sunday, says.
Until today, the European Commission is requesting clarifications on the government's plans, and a decision will be taken at the end of this month.
This is the second year in which a similar procedure is in place and, in Malta's case, the main issue is when measures related to the budget are in line with those of Europe.
The government said it is confident that the process witgh the EC will be concluded in a positive way.
