Veteran broadcaster Manni Spiteri died on Tuesday evening, aged 79.
Mr Spiteri passed away in a small studio he had built in his house, where he still recorded programmes for radio.
Mr Spiteri studied at the Lyceum, St Michael's Training College and the BBC in London. Between 1964 and 1968 he served as a productions officer at the Broadcasting Authority. He was appointed head TV programmes at the then Malta TV between 1968 and 1977.
He served as chairman of PBS between 1991 and 1993 and later joined the Church radio station RTK.
