A group of 12 Maltese artists - Anton Abela, Joseph Barbara, Edwina V. Brejza, Audrey Farrugia, Joseph Casapinta, Luca Cauchi, Francis Galea, Mark Schembri, Claire Fenech, Josette Fenech, Daniel Formosa and Mario Agius - have come together at the Cavalieri Art Hotel to support the Pink October campaign being organised by JPA, in aid of breast cancer awareness. Their support towards the came in the form of  a live painting session during the Pink October charity party yesterday at the Cavalieri Art Hotel. Throughout the event the artists painted individual artworks which will be auctioned and the money will go towards the good work being conducted by the two NGOs - Europa Donna Malta, Breast Care Support Group and the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation. Speaking during an artists' get together prior to the event, JPA director, Adrian Fabri said, "We welcome the artists' noble gesture and innovative initiative to contribute and raise funds towards this cause." Mark Camilleri, general manager of Cavalieri Art Hotel said that "the hosting of this event at the hotel and bringing the artist together forms part of our commitment to participate in this great initiative."
