HSBC Malta Foundation is sponsoring the President's Bike Ride 2014 being held today, 26 October, in aid of the Community Chest Fund.The national event will witness the participation of both bicycle and motorbike enthusiasts who will use their two-wheelers for a noble cause.Participation is open to everyone 16 years and older with a donation of €10.HSBC Malta Foundation director Josef Camilleri said: "People and partnerships are at the heart of everything HSBC Malta Foundation does in its role as an enabler in Malta's social development. Our partnership with the Office of the President for the Bike Ride 2014 is part of our sustained effort to actively support a variety of community needs."The bicycles will leave San Anton Palace at 9.30am and drive to Valletta - Castille Square and back to Ta' Qali. The bikers will have a different route leaving San Anton Palace at 10am where they will ride through villages in the south of Malta and finish at Ta Qali.A BMX show will be held at Ta' Qali at the end of the bike ride.
