The General Workers' Union today asked the government what measures are going to be taken in order to protect the most vulnerable members of society in light of the 58c COLA rise.

The issue was brought up during a meeting of the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development.

The GWU has asked for a formal meeting with the government for an explanation to how the 58c COLA increase was reached.
