A man has had his car wheel stolen overnight, having parked at around 7 pm last night and come back at around 8.30 this morning.
The car was parked relatively close to his residence in St Julian's. "I was lucky I noticed. Had I been in a rush or come towards the car from another angle, I probably would have just opened the door, started the car and attempt to leave".
The man has gone to the police to file a report. The axle was set on a stone and the bolts holding the wheel in place were also stolen, leaving him unable to insert the spare.
"I was lucky they didn't take the other three. I think it had something to do with me having left the steering wheel turned inwards".
