As part of the 7th Year Anniversary celebrations in operation, La Mѐre Restaurant is pleased to announce the ‘The All New Lunch and Dinner Menu’ – a diverse a la carte menu, featuring some old favourites and a range of exciting new dishes to delight guests with a range of tastes.

“La Mѐre Restaurant is pleased to present to our customers a menu that will be able to pleasantly surprise them and take them through a journey of three great cuisines – Indian, Arabic & Mediterranean” said Clinton Cachia, Chef Patron for La Mѐre Restaurant.

Nearly at the bottom of Merchant’s Street in Valletta, past the old Suq Tal’Belt, the irresistible array of newly launched dishes at La Mѐre Restaurant gives guests a wide variety of dishes to choose from, sure to impress with their authenticity. The dishes here are rich and full flavoured, but won’t melt your tongue – unless you want them to, as you can turn up the heat to suit your taste.

The menu offers a varied selection of starters, platters, sizzlers, Indian curries, and Middle Eastern as well as Mediterranean dishes with also a good choice of vegetarian options. Highlights includes starters such as the Sabbidij Makli which is very lightly battered calamari with garlic, za’tar and ground almonds and the Sujuk which is a grilled spicy lamb sausage with garlic, tomatoes and green chillies. Mains give you a choice of Indian curries as well as the cornerstone of the menu – The Traditional Indian Thali, a selection of sizzlers which are cooked in the tandoori clay oven over the charcoal flames, or perhaps a Mediterranean style pork fillet with bacon, aubergines, mustard and port wine or an Arabian dish, such as the chicken tagine with preserved lemons, served with fattoush salad and home-made bread. Dessert lovers will also not want to miss the selection of homemade desserts such as the sweet Indian ice-cream with cardamom, saffron & pistachios the Pista Kulfi.

They also offer a limited but varied choice of wines all at retail prices. A €4.50 corkage fee is then added for each bottle of wine served. However you can also BRING YOUR OWN (BYO) bottle of wine and just pay for the corkage fee.
