Msida seafront house descheduled to become seven-floor building

Following an earlier Mepa board meeting just a few weeks ago, a house on the Msida seafront, next door to BOV, has been descheduled by the minister and so can now be pulled down and a seven-storey apartment building erected instead.

The house, it was said at the last sitting, has no particular architectural features. Besides, next to it, on the other side from the BOV building, all buildings have been pulled down and re-built to seven floors in height.

The only issue, if one can call it that, was a single car parking space that is not being provided in the semi-basement for which a Urban Improvement Fund contribution will be asked.
