Valletta man remanded in custody after being charged with harassing, defiling minor on a bus

A 61-year-old Valletta man was today remanded in custody after a court heard how he harassed a 17-year-old boy and defiling him.

The court heard how Carmel Grech used to go to the boy's workplace and harass him. On one occasion he followed him onto a bus and touched his genitals.

He was charged with harassing the minor, defiling him and offending public  morals. Magistrate Carol Peralta denied bail.

Inspector Daryl Borg prosecuted. Lawyer Anthony Cutajar appeared for the accused.
