Prime Minister Joseph Muscat today met with Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and his cabinet ministers.
The two both agreed that the signing of the Memorandum of Understandings are ones which will see the bilateral relationships between the two countries evolve.
Rasizade said he believes that the two countries can continue copperating in more sectors than one, not solely the energy sector.
On his part, Dr Muscat said that the energy agreement was the first postive step, and it is good that other sectors the two countries can work together at, are identified.
He noted that Socar, which won the international bid competitively tied to the power purchase agreement, had done so without both the governments' intervention.
