Guinean man wanted for alleged rape arrested in Qawra

The 32-year-old man from Guinea, who was wanted by the Police for alleged rape, was found yesterday at about 11pm in Qawra, the police said this morning.

The Guinean rape suspect, Seykou Ballde, escaped police custody on Monday by running out the back into a field behind the St Julian's police station.

The police had said that officers on scene of the crime on Monday, had heard the woman screaming and intervened to stop the crime and arrest the suspect. 

The incident happened in St Julian's.
