Rob Lowe, Jenna Fischer, Megan Mullally are set to star in Apocalypse Slough.

Following a series of discussions with the Malta Film Commission Apocalypse Slough will start shooting in Malta in the coming months with other locations including the UK and South Africa.

Apocalypse Slough is being produced by Working Title Television and Bigballs Films for Sky 1 and NBC. NBC Universal International Television Production operates a joint television production venture with Working Title Television. NBC Universal International Television Distribution will distribute the series worldwide.

Edward Zammit Lewis, minister responsible for the tourism and film industry said that the film industry is going from strength to strength with yet another international production to land in Malta. We are optimistic that by creating an economically sustainable industry we will be generating new jobs and offering new employment opportunities.

Film Commissioner Engelbert Grech expressed satisfaction at having such a high concept drama with a very talented cast filming in Malta. The new cash rebates and the consistent marketing drive that the Malta Film Commission has put together are bearing results.
