Man pleads not guilty to defiling 17-year-old; released against personal guarantee of €20,000

A 54-year-old Qormi man whose name cannot be published by court order today pleaded not guilty to defiling a 17-year-old and holding him against his will. He was released from police custody against a personal guarantee of €20,000 and a deposit of €300. The case was heard behind closed doors.

The incident allegedly took place in Marsa yesterday. Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit is presiding over the case.

 

Lawyers Jason Azzopardi and Kris Busietta appeared for the accused.
