Mosta man pleads not guilty to harassment, usury and living off the earnings of prostitution

Peter Borg, 35, of Mosta, today pleaded not guilty of harassment, usury and living off the earnings of prostitution.

He was released on bail against a deposit of €1,000 and a €10,000 personal guarantee.

He cannot approach localities such as Valletta and Marsa. The alleged victim was given a protection order by the court.

The alleged crimes took place on 24 January and in the months before. When asked by the court if he is employed, he replied that he was boarded out.

 

Lawyers Jason Azzopardi and Kris Busietta defended the accused. The case was presided over by Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit.
