18 local hotels are set to expand their operations, with a total investment of €100million. The expansion is set to create a 0.4% increase in jobs.
9 of the 18 projects have already been approved by Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) and Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) and are in accordance of the height limitation policy.
Minister for Tourism Edward Zammit Lewis was replying to a question put forward by PN spokesperson Censu Galea.
The proposals include a 4-star hotel in Gozo, boutique hotels and apartments.
