A suspended jail term for five men, who were accused of injuring two Police officers on their line of duty, was yesterday turned to effective jail term by the Court of Appeal.

On the 25th September 2011, the five men whose age range is between 25 and 58 years assaulted two Police Officers and grievously injured one of them.

The Police had intervened to stop an argument. Two of the men have now been sentenced to a jail term of 12 months, another two men to 14 months imprisonment, while the fifth man was jailed to 20 months.
