Foreign Affairs Minister George Vella today announced that his ministry will be allocating a substantial increase of funds towards programmes and courses on diplomacy for 2015.

Addressing members of the diplomatic corps at the ministry this morning during a conference themed 'Digital Diplomacy', Dr Vella said that the increase in funding is aimed at narrowing the digital divide which exists between developing and developed world.

He said that a University of Malta accredited post-graduate Masters in Contemporary Diplomacy is one of a series of courses which are to take place this year related to the subject.

Present for the event this morning was the DiploFoundation director Jovan Kurbalija. The foundation is responsible for various diplomacy-related online courses.

Practising diplomats, civil servants, post-graduate students, and others working in international relations who want to refresh or expand their knowledge under the guidance of experienced practitioners and academics should apply for this course.
