Need of monitoring of sexual health teaching in some schools

Speaking on the Adjournment of Parliament this evening, MP Deborah Schembri urged the need for monitoring of the state of sexual health teaching in non-State schools, both private and church ones, because of fears that, maybe for ideological reasons, such schools tend to underteach sexual health principles.

If this is the case, she said, a proportion of our students will be reaching maturity without the necessary preparation.
