President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca earlier today started a state visit in Slovenia where she is having bilateral talks with the country’s authorities.
The first state visit to Slovenia had been made by the late President Guido de Marco in 2002.
Dr Coleiro-Preca was welcomed by Minister Gorazd Zmavc, Slovenian Ambassador to Malta
Iztok Mirosič, Mr Marko Makovec, consultant to the president on foreign affairs, Ms Ksenija Beneditti, head of protocol and by Minister Petra Česen Čatar.
Mr Preca is accompanying the President, together with Foreign Minister George Vella.
