National Referendum and Local Council Elections – April 2015 - Delivery of Voting Documents

The Electoral Commission notifies those persons in Malta and Gozo whose name is included in the Electoral Register last published on 26th January, 2015, that Police Officers will be delivering voting documents at registered addresses as from Saturday, 28th February to Wednesday 18th March, 2015.

Voting documents will be delivered from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 8.00 pm on all days including Saturdays and Sundays.

It is necessary that at the place of residence there shall be a responsible adult person to receive and sign for the voting documents.  One may wish to note that, similar to the asterisk marked against the names of new voters registered for the first time in the electoral register, an asterisk has also been inserted on a number of voting documents, to indicate, for statistical purposes, that the local council voter is one aged between 16 and 18 years old.

The voting document should be kept in a safe place, as nobody will be allowed to vote without it on the day of the poll, Saturday, 11th April, 2015.

Saturdays, Sundays and 19th and 27th March:  from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm

When the person calls to make the sworn declaration it is important that he/she brings his/her identity or residence card, and that, on the day of advanced voting (4th April, 2015), he/she must be in possession of the voting document as, without it, no one shall be allowed to vote.
