The price for 12kg gas cylinders are to reduce by €1 come March, the Energy Ministry has stated.

The price will drop from €18 per cylinder to €17 for the months of March and April. The Ministry said that this will be the lowest price in three years.

The Ministry stressed that thanks to a lower rate of inflation when compared to the past years and price stability helping reduce uncertainty on prices, It is easier for businesses and families to plan their expenses. "This in contrast to the month by month price change under the previous administration".

The Ministry mentioned that stable gas and fuel prices, as well as the reduction in energy tariffs will continue to have positive effects.
