The police are investigating a theft which took place today at about 6.30pm from a convenience shop in Triq Gerry Zammit in Msida.

The robber, with his face hooded and carrying a wooden object, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash stolen from the cash register. The salesgirl inside the shop at the time of the theft was not hurt.
