AC Milan has lost key midfielders Riccardo Montolivo and Nigel de Jong to injury, adding to the woes of embattled coach Filippo Inzaghi.

Both players were hurt in Saturday's goalless draw at relegation-threatened Chievo.

Milan said Montolivo injured a hamstring muscle and will undergo more medical tests in a week, while De Jong hurt the back of his thigh and will be re-assessed in 10 days.

Milan's injury list already included Adil Rami, Cristian Zapata, Ignazio Abate, Mattia De Sciglio, Pablo Armero and Cristian Zaccardo.

Struggling in 10th place and without successive victories since October, Inzaghi's job has been at risk for weeks.

Milan host Hellas Verona next weekend.
