Fuel prices in Malta are falling while those in Europe are rising, the Labour Party said in a statement today.
In the past five weeks, petrol prices went up by 9cents and diesel by 10 cents, the PL said.
During the same period, petrol and diesel prices fell by 7cents.
In Belgium, petrol prices increased by 15 cents and diesel by 16 cents, the Party said.
Petrol prices in Malta are now 4 cents lower than the European average and diesel prices are on par with the European average.
Despite this, the Opposition continues to say that fuel prices in Malta are higher than the European average, the PL said.
