An Eritrean man, who had been expelled from Italy, was caught while he was trying to hide underneath a container that was being driven on board the catamaran on its way to Malta at Pozzallo.

This happened on Wednesday afternoon when the catamaran was about to leave for Malta. The police checking the loading of trucks noted that something was amiss and they found the Eritrean man hidden between the wheels.

The Eritrean is 40 years old and he has now been ordered out of Italy within seven days by the Ragusa court.
