A 37-year-old motorcyclist from Valletta has been hospitalised after being hit by a car in Qormi. It is understood that the accident took place at about 12.30pm when a Mitsubishi Lancer, being driven by a 27-year-old from Qormi, hit the motorcyclist. Reports say that he ended up on the car bonnet. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. His condition is not yet known.

In a separate incident, an elderly man was injured after a crash in Zebbug at about 1.45pm. It is understood that two cars crashed on Mdina Road. The elderly man was taken to hospital, the other driver - a 20-year-old - was uninjured.
