More than €2,500 in cash was stolen from a supermarket in Ibrag Road, Swieqi, on Sunday evening, the police said today.

A man entered the shop at 9.15pm and demanded money from the cashier and then made off with the cash.

The police did not say whether the robber was armed or hooded.

It was the fourth hold-up reported to the police in the past week. The first three took place in Sliema, Pieta and Santa Venera.
