The Nationalist Party will this evening vote in favour of the Gender Identity bill when the law is put to the vote in Parliament.
Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil announced this in a tweet.
The stand taken by the PN is in contrast to the position it took on the civil unions bill last year, when it had abstained because it was not in agreement with the provision on adoption by gay couples.
It seems that the fall-out after that decision has taught the PN a lesson.
