The structural works at the National Pool at Tal-Qroqq, a pledge in Labour Party’s electoral manifesto, is almost complete, and will be open to the public in the upcoming days.
The south block and the starting blocks will be inaugurated and the entire project will be ready by the end of September. Walls have been reconstructed, the number of changing rooms has increased and the building is now more accessible for everyone.
Addressing a press conference this morning, Parliamentary Secretary Chris Aguis said that an energy audit will be compiled before an expression of interest to make the national pool energy friendly is published.
A Family Fun Day will be organised at the national pool on 3 May, and syncrhonised swimming shows as well as swimming and waterpolo competitions will be held. Zumba, Hop Hop and Circuit Training classes will be held in the Dance Hall.
Attendees are being invited to contribute a donation in aid of Dar tal-Providenza.
