A 22-year-old woman of Nadur lost her life early this morning in a traffic accident on the Xlendi Road in Gozo.

The accident happened at 3.30am, the police said.

A collision took place between a Xauxhall Insignia driven by a 20-year-old of Ghasri and a Honda CRX driven by a 25-year-old on Victoria.

The 22-year-old was a passenger in the Honda.

The two drivers were also taken to hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating.
