The President of Germany, Joachin Gauck, will be on an official visit to Malta on Wednesday and Thursday. He will be accompanied by Mrs Daniela Schadt.

He will be meeting President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, Speaker Anglu Farrugia and Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil.

He will be visiting the Mara open centre and will be meeting various NGOs who work with irregular migrants.
