Grupp Universitarji Ghawdxin (GUG) has just been donated 16 lockers within the university to be used by Gozitan students.

Gozo Minister Anton Refalo said that a substantial part of the government’s expenditure is allocated to the education of young people, adding that the lockers donation should not be seen as expenditure but rather as an investment. 

He said that for government policies to be successful, they need to be based on concrete proof and knowledge.

Anthony Briffa has been appointed the Gozo Youth Services Coordinator within the Gozo Youth Council. The council would voice the needs of Gozitan youths within the sector of education and training, employment, health, voluntary work, social inclusion, creativity and culture.

Minister Refalo said that originations such as the GUG need to be proactive in addressing issues Gozitan youths face. He urged other students’ organizations to come forward and propose their ideas.
