Outgoing PN Secretary General Chris Said has reacted to the news that he will not be seeking re-election and said he will devote all of his time to helping the PN win back a majority in Gozo.

Dr Said wrote on Facebook: “During the two years I served as PN Secretary General I have given all my energy to bring about important changes within the party and its media. I can say with satisfaction that these changes bore fruit – the party is more open and closer to the people, we have structures that widely represent different sectors of society and a media that has not only stopped making losses and is delivering a more professional service but is also making more financial sense.”

Dr Said said he agreed with Dr Busuttil’s suggestion that he should now focus all of his energy on Gozo. “I will not be contesting the post of Secretary General in order to be able to give all my time to make the PN what it has always been in Gozo – the natural party.”

Dr Said thanked all the PN and Media.link employees who worked with him during the past two years and for the results they obtained together. “I will now turn all my attention on Gozo with enthusiasm. I will take up the challenge and see it through successfully.”
