In his declaration of assets, Parliamentary Secretary Ian Borg listed a bank account holding €14,000. The parliamentary secretary’s declarations confirm reports of a story published by the PN media earlier this year, that he purchased an old piece of property (a farm) in Dingli with plans to transform it into modern residential units in the picturesque Wied Liemu. The PN’s media reported that the old building was demolished, which lays on a piece of old agricultural land known as Tad-Dahla or Ta’ Srajgu or il-Musmar.
In his declaration, he states that he purchased two substandard residences which are to be converted into a residential unit for Dr Borg, including a small guest flatlet and an agricultural parcel of land.
The PN media had also claimed that the permits were issued on another person’s name by Mepa, which raised suspicions.
Beppe Fenech Adami who is a lawyer by profession and who is also PN deputy leader, has a total €651,720 in savings in various local banks but has a liability of €162,684. He owns six properties, three of which he inherited.
